What the boiler is saying: I started the pump and did not detect the water movement I expected through the primary circuit, so I have stopped rather than fire the burner into a system I cannot confirm is circulating.

A1 is the Greenstar's dry-run protection, and like every circulation fault across every brand it gets misread as "the pump has failed" by people who then find the pump is fine.
